Volunteer Appreciation Night!

As a thank you and show of gratitude Lansing RAGBRAI is hosting a volunteer appreciation night at the final Music in the Park on Thursday, September 1st from 5:00pm-8:00pm. This is located at Clear Park in Lansing (by the Splash Pad). We'll be providing pizza and soft drinks. Give-a-ways are inevitable! Thank you for volunteering!

A Letter from Stephanie, our Volunteer Coordinator for Lansing Ragbrai.

RAGBRAI is coming to town and Lansing will be needing a large number of volunteers for a variety of services. This experience promises to be a good time adventure. Meet people from all over the world who have biked 453 miles to get to Paradise! Come help take pictures of riders posing for their final dip, or help manage traffic on Main Street, or direct riders where to go at the information center. There are so many possibilities to help on these days.

As a volunteer you can choose to help for a morning, an afternoon or any allotted time that works for you from July 22nd-30th. It’s really up to you and your schedule.  Volunteers are needed in the following areas:  communications, entertainment, food and vending, hospitality, housing, information centers, law enforcement, medical, public safety, publicity, Ride Right, Showers/Sanitation/Recycling, transportation, beverage garden, budget, and campgrounds.

Still need more convincing?! Here are our best reasons why you should volunteer for Lansing Ragbrai.

  1. Paradise is better experienced outside!

  2. Get the chance to see 15,000 bike riders in one place!!

  3. You can’t make new friends by staying home!

  4. Meet new people!

  5. Your Grandma will be proud!

  6. It feels good to do good!
